The restaurant's owner is Mr.Oreste Casorati. After he finished studying at the State Hotel School in Milan, in 1967
he began to work in the best Hotels of the city, but because of his peasant origin he chose to work in family
restaurants (Trattoria) where the homely cooking and the family ambience suited to his origin.
But at that time Mr. Oreste aimed at gaining experience also abroad so that in 1975 he decided it was time to try working abroad and for 7 years he worked in the Arab Countries
(Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria and Turkey) geting a great experince.
in 1983 he went to the always-loved Thailand, and he sttled in Chiang Mai where he opened a musical instruments shop and in the evenings he used to sing in the coffee shops by fulfilling also his passion for music.
in the year 2000 when his mother had pass, he decided to move forever to Thailand to fulfill his dream to have his own restaurant. and this is my restaurant La Buca,
Sukhumvit Soi 1. He started quietly without any particular acquaintance or contact, and with just his passion and
succeeded in getting his own space. his dream came true.
(The Cuisine)
The menu of La Buca" Restaurant follows mostly the simple and the traditional Cuisine of the Lombardy Region,
and some good taste from other Italian regions to please the different clients' taste.
The menu, particular changes every week, assuring a unque variety of dished in Bangkok.
the hors d'oeuvres are simple and appeziting: we are suggesting a dish of sliced salami ith grilled vegetables.
the pasta is fantastic; you can taste every week three different kinds of homemade pasta with seven different
sauces and this wide choice of sauces makes it impossible to have a suggestion to which sauce is the best; just rely on our taste.
The rice ('Risotto') is a unique specialty: absolutely to try is the typical'Risotto Milanese' with saffron and marrowbone, a really appetizing dish.
Finally the menu includes also meat, fish and dessert of Soi 1
There is only a wide choice of wines of the best Italian cellars
Mr. Oreste is suggesting simple and natural food: all the typical Italian products are imported as a guarantee for the quality.
